Find quick answers to the most common questions about our technology, our mission, and how Virtual Forest works.
001. How does it work ?
Our purifiers use photosynthetic microalgae to capture CO₂ and pollutants, releasing oxygen.
002. Where can they be installed ?
Anywhere, indoors or outdoors, from offices to public spaces.
003. What do they filter ?
CO₂, fine particles, and VOCs, the key causes of poor air quality.
004. Is the purifier easy to move or install ?
Yes. Our system is fully plug & play and designed to be easily transportable. Each purifier is built on a metal pallet base, allowing it to be moved with a pallet jack for fast installation or relocation anywhere.
005. Does it require a power supply?
For indoor installations, the purifier simply connects to a standard electrical outlet. For outdoor use, it runs on solar panels and an internal battery, making it fully autonomous and energy-efficient.
006. How often does it need maintenance?
Maintenance is required every 2–3 months. It includes refilling nutrients, checking sensors, and cleaning the microalgae tank.
007. Is a water connection required?
No, the purifier only needs to be filled once when it is first started. After that, it operates in a closed-loop system, so no permanent water connection is required.
008. Who takes care of maintenance?
All maintenance is handled directly by Virtual Forest technicians. They refill nutrients, check sensors, and ensure that every unit operates at peak performance.
009. How does Virtual Forest track performance?
Each unit is equipped with smart sensors measuring CO2 levels, air quality, and photosynthetic efficiency. Data is sent to our platform for monitoring and optimization.
